Overview

Garrick has 20 years’ experience in the construction industry and 6 years’ specialised experience in construction forensic planning and delay dispute resolution. He is a well-regarded and highly experienced expert in the field of delay and programming analysis and has been instructed on a number of occasions to prepare expert reports and provide oral evidence on a range of project types, including hotels, civils & infrastructure works, energy and engineering project disputes, in both the UK domestic market and internationally, including South Africa and Malta.

Background and experience

On completion of his mechanical engineering studies in 2004, Garrick commenced his career in project planning, working on various projects throughout Southern Africa, as well as a Nuclear Fusion Research project in Oxfordshire, UK. In 2018, after 14 years of construction planning, and having started his own consultancy, Garrick began specialising in forensic delay analysis. In 2020, Garrick relocated to the UK with his family and joined Aquila Forensics (acquired by J.S. Held in 2023) as a delay expert where he remained until joining TQEF as a Director in 2024. Garrick is guest lecturer at Stuttgart University’s International Construction Practice and Law MBE course on the assessment of project delays and delay methodologies.
